After making the first tower, I went quickly onto making another one. I wanted to model this different from the first, and rather than making it a single building I wanted to make it seem more like a building complex. I have made the building into different layers so that parts can be moved around, or other builds can be added onto the platform. I was following a similar design as the previous model where I made the top section tall and curved.
The strips that go around the building were a little hard to do, and when up wrapping the UVs were very small which meant the texture wouldn’t look too good. This doesn’t matter too much though as the model would be far way within the game. With the textures I wanted to do something a little different. Owen and I were using a specific metal design that he made for a lot of the models, but I wanted to change things up. I thought that green and dark green / black would work well and stand out from all the dark silver metals we had been using. It would also work well with yellow and blue emissive lights as they complement each other; and the darker colours will make the neon colours stand out.
